Spoke Too Soon
So last night, I posted pictures of kite flying and bulbs - you know - signs of Spring. Well, this is what we woke up to this morning! I suppose this is a typical Utah Spring, but nonetheless, enough already! I have been sick all weekend long (hence the several blog posts) and am still not feeling great this morning and a little sunshine and blue skies would have helped in that regard! Oh well, if only I could control Mother Nature . .

Kites and Signs of Spring (Roxane)
Yesterday I made a trip to Kohlers to pick up some groceries and saw these kites that I thought the girls would love. They bugged us all day long, so finally after conference we took them outside to see if they would fly - and they did!
The next is a picture of the fruits of my labor. Last fall I thought that it would be a brilliant idea to plant the strip of dirt next to our driveway with tulip and daffodil bulbs. (It is roughly 75 feet long.) Well, I did and I now have a scar on my hand that was left from a blister from planting so many bulbs! Anyway, I wasn't sure if any of them were going to come up and then I kept finding a few here and there that Kobe had unearthed. There may be a few missing, but I think that I am going to have some beautiful tulips and daffodils sooner than later. I am so excited!!!! This picture is just half of the strip. I'll post some pictures when they are in bloom.
Easter Sunday 2008
Easter morning, the kids went for an Easter basket hunt in the backyard. The Easter Bunny was real tricky this year and hid the baskets well. After that it was on to church with the kids all dressed up. What a beautiful Easter Sunday it was!
Alia found her basket in the playhouse.

Boys and Basketball
Max thoroughly enjoyed having Fisher and Stockton up for a visit Easter weekend. They played hours of basketball and went to a Jazz game too. It was pretty much basketball all weekend long!

Stockton and his "John Stockton" basketball.
One of many one-on-one games.
The boys were pretty intense and at times a little too competitive.
The boys enjoyed having a camera to show off for.

Luckiest Day EVER!!!!
So today, Max and Shawn went to Salt Lake after school to get Max's golf clubs re-shafted. Well, they had finished up and Shawn was visiting with the golf instructor while Max sat in the room on the couch and waited. While he was sitting there, they heard a knock on the door. Shawn looked over and said to Max, "Guess who's at the door." Max looked over and saw his basketball idol, Deron Williams. The golf instructor let him in and Max sat vapor-locked on the couch! Deron was there to schedule a golf lesson so Max was lucky enough to shake his hand, get his autograph and tell him that he was his NUMBER ONE FAN!!!! Max called me up to tell me what had happened and said that he almost cried because he was so happy! I told Max that this must be his lucky day and he told me, "It's my luckiest day ever!!!"
Max hasn't been able to quit smiling. He has been beaming from ear to ear!
